Happy 20th birthday to Spellbinders! To celebrate, they’ve released a huge birthday collection. I’m sharing two cards today featuring several of those products. In addition, throughout the day, many designers will be sharing projects with the collection as well.

For all of the die cutting and dry embossing for these cards, I am using the new Universal Plate System. I’ve been using it for about a month and think it’s terrific! When using Spellbinders embossing folders I have found my first attempt is perfect and of course it cuts dies like a dream.

1. Emboss a slimline panel with the Hand Drawn Scallops Embossing Folder on white cardstock.

2. Die cut the cake from Topsy Turvy Cake Etched Dies from Cup O’ Joe and Woodland cardstock. For the Woodland cardstock you will only need to cut the top portion. Die cut the topping from Woodland cardstock. Die cut the stars and hearts from Teal Glitter Foam and the curly and straight poles from silver cardstock.

3. Cut the tops off the cakes cut from Woodland cardstock and adhere to the Cup O’ Joe cardstock cake pieces with Bearly Arts Precision Glue.

4. Adhere the topping to the cake pieces and assemble the cake. Adhere to the embossed slimline panel with foam tape.

5. Add Glossy Accents to the topping and set aside to dry.

6. Hot foil the sentiments from the Birthday Unboxing Glimmer Set with Aura Hot Foil Roll. Cut down to size.

7. Once Glossy Accents is dry, add the silver poles with liquid glue. Add the glitter foam stars and hearts to the silver poles and throughout panel.

8. Adhere the sentiments below the cake with foam tape.

9. Add panel to a slimline card base.

1. Emboss a slimline panel with the Party Spots Embossing Folder.
