Hello! There’s a new release available today at Simon Says Stamp including new Pawsitively Saturated Inks and Flat Detail Blending Brushes and Round Detail Blending Brushes. They also have a new Embossing Folders with a die included that cuts out one of the images. That’s what I’m using today.

1. Emboss a 4 1/4” x 5 1/2” piece of white cardstock with the Sunflower Embossing Folder and Die.

I used the new Universal Plate System from Spellbinders. They have a plate combination that works for their 3D embossing folders but they are thinner than this one. The combination I used was Base Plate, Base Plate Top, Embossing Folder, cardstock shim, Mylar Shim. Experiment with different combinations to get what you need for your Die Cut Machine.

2. Die cut the die included with the embossing folder from the same white cardstock. Place in embossing folder over full flower towards bottom right.

I taped the embossing folder closed right near flower and on the opposite side to keep the flower from shifting.

3. Apply Citrine Pawsitively Saturated Ink to flower petals with a blending brush.

4. Apply Cappuccino Pawsitively Saturated Ink to flower centers with a small blending brush. Don’t worry about getting too close to edges.

5. Apply Woodsy Pawsitively Saturated Ink with the new Detail Flat Blending Brush using the side of the brush and flicking inward all around the edges of the flower center.

As the inks dry they will blend together somewhat.

6. Once the Citrine Ink has had time to dry, use the detail brush to add some more of the same color out from the center.

7. Add Marine Pawsitively Saturated Ink to the open areas using the Detail Round Blending Brush.

I used a darker ink on my card and I think it’s too much. I like the blue but it should have been a lighter color.

8. Stamp the sentiment from XL Stacked Greetings on a piece of vellum cut to 4” x 5 1/4” using Embossing and Watermark Ink. Sprinkle on White Detail Embossing Powder and heat set.

9. Add thin foam squares to the back of the die cut sunflower, line up vellum over panel and place die cut on vellum.

10. Add Bearly Arts Precision Glue to the back of the vellum under the flower and under the thicker letters. Place on panel.

11. Adhere panel to an A2 card base and place gold pearls with liquid glue. Add small drops of glue under the outer pearls.

12. Add small dots to die cut flower with E49 Copic Marker.

13. Add detail with a white gel pen and place white heart on flower.
