Simon Says Stamp Cozy Hug Release

Hello! It’s time for the Cozy Hugs release from Simon Says Stamp. This card uses two layering stencils that were very easy to use. I picked some fun bright colors with a bold black sentiment. I didn’t think it needed much else.

1. Place first Layering Peppermint Stencil over a piece of white cardstock. I used a piece much larger than necessary and the Waffle Stencil Mat.

2. Apply ink with Detail Round Blending Brushes. I used Pawsitively Saturated Inks in Guava and Sprout for the first layer. I tried to keep this layer fairly light so I tapped off a good amount of ink and the very gently applied it.

3. Place the second Layering Peppermint Stencil on the cardstock and add Cherry and Field inks.

4. Use a rectangle die to cut the stencil down to 4” x 5 1/4”.

5. Stamp the sentiment from XL Christmas Greetings with Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink.

6. Adhere the panel to an A2 card base and add Fashion Poppy Color Essential Pearls throughout.

I considered adding a glitter paste over the second stencil but ultimately wanted to keep things simpler.
