Hello and welcome to day 2 of the Simon Says Stamp Cozy Hugs Blog Hop! I’m sharing how I used a blending brush to apply Pawsitively Saturated Inks to a cling stamp to create this beautiful wreath card.

Simon Says Stamp is also giving away their Giant Hugs Card Wrap die free with a purchase of $75 or more. Use the code: COZY. This promotion will expire 10/9 at 11:59 pm EDT.

Read through to the end for giveaway details and links to the other designers in the hop. in addition, you should also check out day 1 of the blog hop.

1. Place the Painted Christmas Wreath Cling Stamp in an Original Misti Stamping Tool with the foam pad removed, along with a piece of 6” square Neenah Solar White Cardstock.

2. Pick up ink from the ink pad with the Detail Round Blending Brush and dab it on the image you wish to cover. I used Cherry Ink for the flowers and berries. I used Field and Pine for the leaves. Work in small sections to keep the ink from drying up.

I used the darkest of the trios because applying ink with a blending brush will make it lighter than directly inking up the image.

3. Cut the stamped panel to 4 1/4” x 5 1/2” and add Pine Ink softly over the card avoiding the red ink as much as possible.

4. Stamp the sentiment in the center of the wreath with Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink. Place panel on an A2 card base.

5. Adhere Fashion Rouge Color Essentials Pearls to the center of the flowers and Gold Smooth Disc Sequins across panel with Bearly Arts Precision Glue.

This stamp was very easy to ink up with the Detail Round Blending Brush. It’s not something I could have done without them.
