Spellbinders January Large Die and Embossing Folder of the Month

Hello! Today I’m sharing cards created using the Spellbinders January Large Die of the Month and Embossing Folder of the Month. The Large die club has sold out for January along with the new Stitching Die and the 3D Embossing Folder clubs. They will not be restocked but what I’m sharing today can be achieved with a variety of different products. Be sure to sign up for the sold out clubs right away on February 1 to avoid missing out again.

1. Hot Foil the sentiment from Inside Card Glimmer Sentiments at an angle using Satin Rose Gold Hot Foil Roll.

2. Line the top of the sentiment up with the edge of January Embossing Folder of the Month. Place the top plate back a bit. This will help the embossing fade instead of create a harsh line.

3. Repeat step 2 for the bottom of card.

4. Cut panel to 4” x 5 1/4” and place on an A2 card base with foam tape.

5. Die cut the friend die from Anemone Glimmer Blooms from bronze metallic cardstock once and white cardstock three times. Adhere together and then to card.

6. Add Fashion Oyster Color Essentials Pearl Dots across card.

1. Die cut the flower die from the January Large Die of the Month 30 times from white cardstock. Adhere in stacks of two.

2. Find the center point of a 4” x 5 1/4” piece of white cardstock. Place first flower the and work out from there adhering them.

You may want to do two things I didn’t. First, measure accurately. And second, place all the flowers on the panel before adhering to make sure you measured correctly. That’s why my flowers are off but I wasn’t starting over.

3. Die cut flower centers from a rainbow of colored cardstock. Adhere together and to each flower. Add Glossy Accents and set aside to dry.

4. Die cut the sentiment from Wonderful Script Sentiments out of Onyx cardstock three times. Adhere together.

5. Once dry, place panel on an A2 card base with foam tape and add sentiment with liquid glue. Place something heavy on top to make sure the sentiment adheres as much as possible on this bumpy surface.

Neither card is perfect. The first needs the sentiment shifted to the right a bit and the second wasn’t measured properly. I think, however, that they look great despite their issues.

Thanks for visiting!

  1. I love the quality and styles of Spellbinder dies and your flower card with different colored centers is one of my favorites.
