Simon Says Stamp Be Creative Blog Hop and Giveaway Day 1

Welcome to day 1 of the Simon Says Stamp Be Creative release blog hop and giveaway! My card features a new cling stamp and birthday sentiments. Be sure to read to the end for giveaway information and for the link to the next designer in the hop.

Use the code ART4U to get the Handcrafted with Love 3×4 stamp set FREE with any purchase!

1. Stamp the Parallelogram Cling Stamp using Bubblegum, Guava, Cheeky and Peachy Pawsitively Saturated Inks on white cardstock.

2. Ink blend over the stamping with the same colors. Splatter with White Gouache and set aside to dry.

3. Die cut the balloons from Balloon Trio dies and apply the same inks as used in the background in various combinations.

4. Stamp sentiments from Big Old Birthday using Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink on the balloons.

5. Cut inked panel to 4 x 5 1/4” and adhere to an A2 card base with foam tape.

6. Decide where to place balloons then create a string with a black pen. Draw a black line across the bottom of balloons. I didn’t do this and I think my card would look better if I had.

7. Add balloons to card with thin foam squares and adhere Disco Party Sequins throughout card.

  4. Geeza Louisa! I should have ordered that parallelogram stamp. Your background is AMAZING – superior work. The balloons are also super-cool! I love that balloon trio! Your card is a delight!

  5. Those balloon dies are some of my very favorite to use and look great with the geometric background stamp. Love the colors too!

  6. What great colors for a happy card! When I was growing up my mom always said never put orange and pink (or red and pink) together because they clashed. I was an adult before I realized how wrong she was! Your card is beautiful!

  7. A great combo of the geometric background and the rounded shapes of the balloons. And such a pretty color combo!

  8. Your balloon card is so charming – it’s fun, colorful and suitable for several recipients. Great design.

  9. The colors steal the show for me on this card but I like the way you stamped the sentiments on the balloons as well!

  10. Okay now, this card is seriously awesome! I love the colors and the design, just everything about it! Well done.

  11. The color scheme of your card is so soft and inviting. I also like that you thought to use white card stock to fill in the little highlight area of the balloons. Great idea. Thanks for the inspiration.
