Hero Arts May Add Ons Birthday Cards

When I saw the set from the May Hero Arts release, I knew it was perfect for my daughter’s 17th birthday card. she loves skating and owns a pair of teal skates with pink edging. So I set out to make a pink and teal card. I was then informed she expected her birthday card to be rainbow with tons of glitter. So I have two roller skate birthday cards to share with you today!

1. On a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece of white cardstock blend inks over the Starlight Rays stencil. Wipe stencil off but leave in place. Inks used are listed and linked below.

2. Add Hero Glitter Paste over Starlight Rays stencil. Remove and clean stencil. Set aside to dry.

3. Stamp the images from the You’re Dynamite stamp set with Intens-ified Black Ink. Color with Copic Markers listed below. Cut out with coordinating dies.

4. Stamp the bow for the skate in an ink color to match the skate. I used Paradise Core Ink on one card and a rainbow reactive ink from an older My Monthly Hero kit for the other.

5. Once stenciled panel is dry trim down to 4 x 5 1/4” and adhere to an A2 card base.

6. Stamp the sentiment from the You’re Dynamite stamp set with a coordinating ink. I used Paradise Core Ink and Intens-ified Black Ink.

7. Adhere stamped pieces to card with thin foam squares. Add highlights with a white gel pen.

8. Stamp another sentiment on the inside of card using Intens-ified Black Ink

All of the add ons for May are just so much fun! I can’t wait to use them all. If you haven’t done so already, leave a comment on my blog post from Monday for a chance to win a $50 gift card to Hero Arts. Thanks for visiting!
