July Hero Arts My Monthly Hero Countdown Day 1

Hello! I’m joining in the countdown to the release of the July My Monthly Hero kits. Be sure to read to the end for a giveaway and come back Wednesday for the July My Monthly Hero release!

The kit will be released on Wednesday, July 5th due to the holiday.

1. Line up a piece of cardstock in the corner of a Misti. Arrange all stamps how you want them to appear. Pick up with door.

2. Before stamping move cardstock up and over very slightly. Stamp the images using Granite Core Ink.

3. Place cardstock back in corner. Stamp entire panel with Paradise Core Ink, 2/3 of each stamp with Aegean Core Ink and bottom third with Nautical Core Ink. The sentiment and butterfly are the perfect time to use the ink cubes.

4. Trim panel to 4 x 5 1/4” and place on an A2 card base with foam tape.

5. Add jewels across card with Precision Glue XL.

The difference the shadow created with the Granite Core Ink is amazing! I had originally made one without adding it but I wasn’t happy with how things looked. So I gave it a try and loved it.

  2. Your card is really eye catching. I was wondering how hard it would be to replicate, I don’t have any of the colours you’ve used so will have to improvise! I’ve never seen this way of doing shadows before and I have to say it looks amazing. I’m looking forward to trying it myself. Thank you for sharing and giving a tutorial. X X

  10. First, I love your color combo and the way you used the colors in an ombré effect. I also love the shadow effect. It’s subtle – but helps the colors have ground. What a sweet card to give to a friend!
