Eclipse Technique Over Rainbow Stenciled Background

About a week ago, I shared a reel of how I created the background. It took a few days to decide how I wanted to use it. I decided to use the eclipse technique to make the numbers stand out but not overpower everything else.

1. Blend over Floral Trove Stencil with a Rainbow of Reactive Inks. Remove stencil and run blending brushes over background without reinking for a softer look.

2. Stamp over the stenciling using the Script Bold Prints and Contour Ink.

3. Splatter with Black Shimmer Tone-on-Tone Metallic Spray. Let dry.

4. Die cut the numbers from the background then cut them four more times from black. adhere together. Keep insides of number.

5. Emboss the sentiment from the Friendly Messages Bundle using White Detail Embossing Powder on Pitch Black Cardstock. Cut out with coordinating die then cut out three more times. Adhere together.

Add white cardstock behind numbers for a more subtle effect.

6. Adhere ink blended panel to an A2 card base then add numbers. Don’t forget to add inner pieces of numbers back inside.

7. Adhere sentiment and finish card with Translucent Enamle Dots.

I made this card for my daughter who turns 18 on Friday. I have one more birthday card to share later this week. Thanks for visiting!
