Happy 23rd birthday to Spellbinders! We are celebrating today with a blog hop and giveaway. One of my favorite products at Spellbinders right now is the Just Add Cake kit. It’s perfect for making fabulous birthday cards.
1. Emboss a panel of Classic White ColorWheel Cardstock using the Confetti Drop 3D Embossing Folder included in the Just Add Cake Cardmaking kit.
2. Splatter embossed panel with Lime Zest Splatter Effects included in the Just Add Cake Cardmaking kit. Adhere to an A2 card base.
3. Die cut the Light the Candles die set out of various cardstock colors included in the Just Add Cake Cardmaking kit. Cardstock colors are listed and linked below.
4. Add shading to each die cut using coordinating Core Inks. Inks are listed and linked below.
5. Assemble cupcake pieces with liquid glue then add thin adhesive foam to back.
6. Add flowers to cupcake. Pull back foam tape backer but don’t remove and add candles and greenery. Replace backer.
7. Add cupcake to card, adding liquid glue to anything that lays flat on card.
8. Stamp sentiments from Just Add Cake Stamp Set included in the Just Add Cake Cardmaking kit using Obsidian Pigment Ink. Cut out with coordinating dies.
9. Adhere sentiments using thin adhesive foam. Finish card with white gel pen highlights.
