Hello! I’m so excited to share the May 2022 My Monthly Hero kit and add ons with you. The cover plate die from the kit is incredible and I fell in love with the background stamp. The add ons are terrific as well. Read to the end for giveaway details!

Kit Value: $70
Kit Cost: $34.99

We’ve cooked up some creativity with the May My Monthly Hero kit release. Join us in the kitchen for a kit made for sharing birthday greetings, friendship, or decorating your baked goodies! The main kit features a gorgeous kitchen-themed Cover Plate die. The A2-sized cling stamp adds a great backsplash to your scene, or is versatile as a background on any project. There are dies for embellishing with pots or adding food, a fun new “cast iron” embossing powder, and messages for your card and gift giving needs. The kit is rounded out with cardstock in colors that give a vintage kitchen vibe, as well as wonderfully theme-appropriate baker’s twine.

Pre-order your kit today – we estimate kit shipping will begin Friday, May 6th and continue throughout the following week.

Kit Contents

• 4″ x 6″ Clear Stamp Set• Cover Plate Fancy Die• 6 Additional Fancy Dies• Cling Background Stamp (4.625″ x 5.875″)• 12 Sheets of Cardstock – 4 each of Pink, Mint, White (5.5″ x 8.5″)• Watermark & Embossing Ink Cube• Cast Iron Embossing Powder (0.5 oz.)• Blue Baker’s Twine (10 yards)

I created two cards with the kit contents. One colored with Zig Markers and one with Copic Markers. I know which one I prefer. What about you?

1. Cut three 4 1/4” x 5 1/2” panels from Neenah Solar White cardstock.

2. Die cut the cover plate die from the May kit from two of the panels.

3. Stamp the cling stamp on the third panel with Intense Black Ink.

4. Color one die cut panel using Copic Markers. The colors I used are linked at the end of this post.

5. Die cut the pie from the kit out of Neenah Solar White cardstock. Color with Copic Markers.

6. Cut a piece of white cardstock to slightly larger than the oven and stamp the sentiment to fit in the oven opening with Intense Black Ink.

7. Adhere the panel behind the oven and place the die cut pie above sentiment.

8. Adhere the second cover plate die cut behind the colored one then adhere to the background panel.

9. Stamp the sentiment on white cardstock with Intense Black Ink and cut to size. Run a dark gray Copic Marker along the edges to make it look framed.

10. Place on a A2 card base and add white gel pen highlights.

This card uses Zig Clean Color Real Brush and I colored the background dark gray in every other rectangle. I think my coloring was too messy on this one. The Copic Markers give me more control.

1. Stamp, color and die cut the Eggcelent stamp set images from with Intense Black Ink. You can purchase the frame cuts separately or both as a bundle.

2. Add Pool Party and Key Lime Fizz Reactive Inks to an A2 card base. Splatter with the same colors with a bit of water added.

3. Stamp the sentiment with Pool Party Reactive Ink.

4. Place images on card, some with foam tape and some directly adhered to card. Add white gel pen highlights.
