Hello and welcome to the December 2022 My Monthly Hero Release Blog Hop and Giveaway! I loved making stunning backgrounds with the cling stamps and stencils released this month. I had a few fails but I ended up with six backgrounds I love. I’m sharing three of them today.
This month we invite you to go on a celestial fantasy adventure with us! Our December release is full of stars, galaxies, moons and clouds. The playful December My Monthly Hero kit, with its adorable space cadets, is perfect for birthdays, encouragement, or simply sending a friendly hello. The kit includes a jam-packed 6 x 8 stamp set with coordinating dies. There’s also the perfect cling stamp for your interstellar backgrounds, a gorgeous Rose Gold pigment mini ink pad, and four half sheets of our ever-popular Pitch Black cardstock!
- 6″ x 8″ Clear Stamp Set
- 15 Coordinating Frame Cuts
- 4.625″ x 5.875″ Cling Stamp
- 4 Sheets of Pitch Black Cardstock, 5.5″ x 8.5″
- Rose Gold Pigment Mini Ink Pad
1. Stamp the cling stamp from the kit using Amethyst Core Ink in the bottom left corner then Orchid Core Ink blending into Peony Core Ink at the top right. Repeat as needed. Use a blending brush to soften the ink line before stamping each color.
2. Stamp the images from the kit with Intense Black Ink and color with copic markers. Cut out with coordinating dies.
3. Once panel is dry, cut down to 4” x 5 1/4” and add to a piece of Passion Flower cardstock.
4. Adhere images to card with foam squares and Precision Glue XL.
5. Add Crystal Lacquer to the planet rings and the helmet. Add Sparkle Clear Lacquer Pen.
6. Stamp the sentiment on Passion Flower cardstock with Amethyst Core Ink. Adhere to card with foam squares.
1. Apply Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide through the Star Cluster Stencil on 4 1/4” x 5 1/2” Pitch Black Cardstock. Wipe the stencil off but do not remove it.
2. Add an even layer of Glitter Hero Paste through stencil. Set aside to dry. Once dry, add to an A2 card base.
3. Stamp the images from the kit with Intense Black Ink and color with copic markers. Cut out with coordinating dies.
4. Adhere images to card with foam squares and Precision Glue XL.
5. Add Crystal Lacquer to the helmet. Add Sparkle Clear Lacquer Pen to stars and moon.
6. Stamp the sentiment on black cardstock with Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide. Adhere to card with foam squares.
1. Ink up the Celestial Bold Prints with Villainous Potion, Salvaged Patina, Uncharted Mariner and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide Inks. Spritz with water and press stamp onto watercolor paper. Repeat as needed and set aside to dry. Once the panel is dry, cut it down to 4” x 5 1/4”.
2. Stamp the images from the kit with Intense Black Ink and color with copic markers. Cut out with coordinating dies.
3. Cut a piece of clear packaging to about 1/2” larger on each side than the panel. Place packaging over front of panel. Wrap around and adhere three edges to the back. Add small Star sequins through the open end and adhere this end as well. Adhere this piece to an A2 card base.
4. Adhere images to card with foam squares and Precision Glue XL.
5. Add Crystal Lacquer to the helmet. Add Sparkle Clear Lacquer Pen to stars and moon.
6. Stamp the sentiment on white cardstock with Villainous Potion Distress Oxide. Adhere to card with foam squares.
