Spellbinders February Small Die of the Month

Today Iā€™m sharing a card using the mosaic shapes from the February Small Die of the Month to make a cute flower instead of a pattern. I think putting it on a black background makes it more dramatic.

1. Emboss a piece of 4 1/4ā€ x 5 1/2ā€ Onyx cardstock with the February Embossing Folder of the Month and adhere to an A2 card base.

2. Die cut the February Small Die of the Month teardrop shape from vellum, the detail teardrop from white cardstock plus Phone Booth, Beeswax and Persimmon cardstock. The white die cuts should be adhered to the colored ones for dimension.

3. Cut the flowers from white cardstock, Phone Booth, Beeswax and Persimmon cardstock. Cut flower centers from white glitter cardstock and gold mirror cardstock. The stem and leaves are from the February Stitching Die of the Month.

4. Assemble all the pieces using foam squares and Bearly Arts Precision Glue. Adhere to card in the share of half a flower using part of a solid teardrop as the flower center.

5. Die cut the sentiment from Gold Mirror Cardstock and the solid frame from Onyx cardstock three times. Adhere together then to card.

6. Finish card with Gold Flat Sequins across card.

I loved using the teardrop dies to create this more unexpected type of flower. The embossing on black makes for a subtle but lovely detail in the background to finish the card.
