Spellbinders February Embossing, Glimmer and Die Clubs

Hello! I’ve got three cards for you today using the February Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of the Month, Large Die of the Month and Embossing Folder of the Month. You can find my post using the February 3D Embossing Folder and Stitching Die HERE. The post with the February Small Die of the Month club is found HERE. Unfortunately, several clubs are already sold out so join the waitlist for the March clubs.

Stack die cuts for a bit of dimension.

1. Die cut the frame three times and oval once from the February Large Die of the Month out of Glacier cardstock. Adhere to a white A2 card base with Bearly Arts Liquid Glue and thin foam squares.

2. Cut the flowers and greenery twice from Fern, Alabaster, Wild Berry and Plum cardstocks, adhere together and add to the card. I added Fashion Pearl Dots in Oyster and Bella for the flower centers.

3. Using scraps of the flower colors, cut portions of the frame die and adhere the inner pieces randomly in the card frames.

4. Create a wax seal using white wax and the Have a Nice Day Seal Stamp. Color the raised portions with the DecoColor Premium Metallic Marker in Rose Gold. Adhere to center of card. You’ll need the Wax Seal Kit for this as well.

You don’t always need to color the image.

1. Hot foil the February Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month image and sentiment with Magenta Hot Foil Roll on Hammermill cardstock and cut with coordinating dies. Save the used foil for the next card.

2. Emboss a piece of Glacier cardstock with the February 3D Embossing Folder of the Month. Cut to 4 x 5 1/4” and adhere to an A2 card base with foam tape.

3. Add glimmered die cut pieces to card with foam tape and place Clear Iridescent Jewels throughout.

Save your used foil to use with a solid glimmer plate.

1. Emboss a piece of Glacier Cardstock with the February Embossing Folder of the Month. Cut to 4 x 5 1/4” and place on an A2 card base with foam tape.

2. Hot foil a piece of Plum cardstock with the Glimmer Essential Solid Heart Plate and the leftover foil from the previous card. Die cut with an Essential Hearts die.

3. Die cut the sentiment from the Pocket Full of Spring Sentiments out of Glacier cardstock plus cut a solid piece of Plum cardstock to adhere behind it.

4. Adhere heart to card with foam tape then place sentiment with thin foam squares.

5. Add Clear Iridescent Jewels throughout card.

I know I use use a lot of foam tape or extra dies to create dimension. I love it but it’s not always practical. While I tend to think it makes a card more appealing to me, it is not at all necessary either. Do what works for you!

The February clubs close on the 24th so if you’d like to subscribe to any that aren’t sold out, don’t wait too long. Thanks for visiting!

  1. Your cards are all beautiful, but I particularly love the first card. Can I ask, did you glue the three layers of the frame together or use double sided adhesive sheets?

    1. Thank you so much! I use Bearly Arts Glue to glue the layers together. I’ve never had much luck with adhesive sheets.
